15+ years of festival and large event experience. Our founder, Beth Hoops, spent a decade cutting her teeth at big agency, managing public relations campaigns for top consumer brands, with a specialty in experiential entertainment. Clients included Verizon, Carl’s Jr / Hardee’s, FedEx and Anheuser-Busch - including five years as lead on Bud Light’s special events and sports programming: Final Four, COPA, NFL, Bud Light Hotel / Super Bowl and “Whatever, USA.”
Beth left the corporate world to work for herself… and comedians. On behalf of our clients, Mid Coast has developed and enacted publicity plans with major movie studios (Paramount, Universal, Drafthouse), television networks (NBC, ABC, CBS, Comedy Central) and digital partners (800 Pound Gorilla, Dry Bar Comedy). We’ve also worked with comedy clubs and theaters across the country, promoting stand-up shows through interviews, local press tours and social media.
With that varied experience, understanding events from ALL angles - the organizers, the talent, the brands (partners / sponsors) - is Mid Coast’s secret sauce. Today, we still grind for touring comedians. We also handle publicity and social media management for major festivals and large events, primarily throughout the Midwest.
